This is a very highly desirable cross of the only two blue Cattleya maximas in the world. Made in Ecuador and available to you through Orchid Enterprise Inc. We do not guarantee these will bloom out in the coerulea variety, because we don't know the genetics behind each parent. When we crossed two Cattleya skinerii albas several years ago, all the seedlings came out normal. We hope that's not going to happen here. Even if it does, these plants will be valuable, because they will have the genetic disposition to be selfed or crossed onto it's sister plant to produce the first Cattleya maxima var. coerulea in the United States.
