Coelogyne speciosa Blooming Size

A beautiful and easy species to grow. Many people think of Coelogynes to be cool growing, but this one is actually does quite well in our Washington DC heat! Flowers are blooming out cream or green color with dark brown lips. We’ve even gotten an abla form from this batch of seedlings. All are beautiful. Flowers are produced successively on newly developing pseudobulbs keeping the plants in flower for many weeks. These plants are blooming size in 4-inch pots. Many with two or three lead growths.
Keep plants moist with good air movement to prevent spotting of the leaves. We grow these in both low and intermediate light levels, making them easy for windowsills, under lights or in a greenhouse.
