Cyp. ‘Hank Small’ is a similar looking hybrid to Cyp Emil and forms large clumps rapidly as shown below. Its resemblance to our native Yellow Ladyslipper makes it a very desirable addition to any garden. Cyp Hank Small is easier to grow and blooms in mid-May. Plant in part sun to part shade but never in mid day sun. Cypripediums desire excellent drainage so add good quantities of composted organic material and consider the addition of grit or other porous material if your soil is heavy.
