Dendrobium Happy Lady has deep, rich, fuchsia flowers with fuzzy egg-yolk yellow lip.
This is a Nobile-type Dendrobium which is grown like most other dendrobiums; Bright, indirect light with some direct sunlight in the morning or evening. The more light you can give these plants, the better they will grow and flower. Protect plants from the heat of the afternoon sun. To insure good blooming, give them cool night temperatures after new growth matures. This can easily be done in the fall when night temps normally drop. We leave our plants outside in a protected area until frost.
Fertilize with a well balanced fertilizer like 20-20-20 until new growth matures. High nitrogen fertilizers will produce babies instead of flowers, so cut back on the fertilizer when night temperatures begin to drop in the fall.
Flowers last for 4-6 weeks or longer. Cooler temperatures increase flower longevity.
The plants offered here are Post-Show plants, so they may not be in bloom when you receive them. We guarantee good, strong healthy plants in 4-inch pots.
