Product Description
These are really Kool miniature bromeliads that are easy to grow, providing you have enough light for them to do well. The more light you give them, the more red pigment they produce. We have these though out our greenhouse as light indicators! We know our Cattleyas are getting enough light when the Earth Stars have deep red color. Our Earth Stars with the violets have more green or cream with just a little red pigmentation.
Flowers form in the center of the plants, just like other Bromiliads and babies will pop out from beneath the foliage.
Plants are sold in 2-inch pots and are sold in two color forms: Red & green or cream & green.
The red & green form (above) ALWAYS has some red pigmentation even in low light. The cream & green form will show little to NO pigmentation in low light.
