EverLove is from the EverFloris series of African Violets at Optimara . The Everfloris violets we sent up into space as seeds in 1984 for a period of almost 6 years. Many people are skeptical about this, but our friends at NASA headquarters here in Washington DC have confirmed this claim. We thought it would be fun to own one of these beauties - just to say we had one, but now, we've fallen in love with them. They are every bit as fee flowering and easy to grow as they claim them to be. We'd love to see what orchid seeds would do in space - maybe next time! Try one of these for yourself!
Single purple-red sticktite frilled flowers with light pink picotee around edges. The width of the picotee tends to vary depending on growing conditions. When picotee is absent, there appears to be a green edge on the flowers. Although a variable bloomer, every blooming is beautiful and profuse. Standard size plants have dark green, heart shaped wavy leaves with red undersides.
