Flasks, Mini-Hobby Flasks, Bottle Babies

We Do sell flasks, but we must educate our customers on the difficulties in mail-orders associated with this service. Flasks are glass bottles that contain plants rooted in a nutrient rich, Jello-like substrate (called agar) which can (will) be jumbled about during transportation. The plants can be damaged and the substrate broken or slung all over the inside of the bottle and on the plants. These bottles are also sterile and sealed with a filter to allow air exchange and to prevent fungus and bacteria from getting in. Rapid changes in temperature and air pressure (like traveling in an airplane or driving up a mountain) can cause this filter to fail and the flasks become contaminated. For these reasons, we do not guarantee our flasks against any of these adversities. We DO, however guarantee your flasks will leave our facility healthy, and the plants ready to be compotted.
If you want to guarantee minimal disturbance to your flasks, we suggest you call for a pickup. We are located in Northern Virginia near Washington DC. Flasks contain a minimum of 20 plants unless stated otherwise. We also offer hobby flasks of 5 plants, for those who prefer fewer plants.
An alternative to flasks are our "Bottle Babies": these are plants which we will hand select right out of our flasks, wrap in a semi-moist toilette and mail to you for immediate compotting.
Bottle Babies are sold in groups of 5 to an order. For example if you place an order for 1 Bottle Baby of Cattleya aclandea, you will receive 5 plants.
Sorry we can not suite up and fire up our lab nor risk contamination to an entire flask for less than 5 plants,
