OEI’s Extra-Light Potting Mix is especially designed to provide good drainage and maintain high levels of air in the soil necessary for good healthy root growth. Originally designed for our African Violets and other Gesneriads like Streptocarpus, Chiritas etc, we’re now using it for our Paphiopedilums, Phalaenopsis and Terrestrials. Even our carnivorous plants and other tropicals are benefiting from this mix.
